Hello, I have set up this blog so that the history of the gay baths at (http://www.gaytubs.com) can be discussed and shared. It is my desire that the many gay men who stumble upon this blog will share their memories of their bathhouse visits in order to help us re-live, remember and cherish the baths, which were the first gay social institutions in the USA. It has often been said that the 1970s were the legendary heyday of the baths because of the incredible social changes that were evolving at that time which affected human sexuality, music, lifestyles, and such. It was truly an amazing time in our history. So, grab your towel and let's go back to the baths!
P.S. Please check out my other bath house site at (http://www.bathhouseguide.com)
Does anyone have any memories or memorabilia about the legendary baths of San Francisco or New York in the 1970s? My website lists a number of New York Baths that were closed down years ago. Some of them are: Everard Baths, The New St Marks Baths, and the Club Baths.
ANY GAY BATH HOUSE MEMORIES TO SHARE, GUYS??
